Given everything going on in the world these days, we know many of you are struggling with meets getting canceled and gymnastics centers closing for months at a time.
So to help you get through this pandemic and for all of those times in the future when you’re stuck at home and need things to do, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite printables and ideas and put them here for you to access in one place.
We hope you enjoy!
Before we begin, have you seen our new GymnasticsHQ Coloring & Activity Book? It has 50 pages of fun coloring pages and activities to keep your gymnast busy.
Home Workout Plans – Can’t make it to your gym for a few weeks? Check out these Home Gymnastics Workout Plans to help you keep up your strength and conditioning and help you stay in top shape for each event. They come in different levels of difficulty.
Skill Challenges – Challenge yourself to a skill challenge. Color in the stars for every 10 skills you do and see if you can make it to 1000 (or 100 in the case of press handstands)! This is a great way to get in daily practice time.
Motivational Coloring Pages – Who doesn’t love a little coloring when they’re stuck home? Here are some gymnastics motivational coloring sheets for you to print out and color in. Remember too – a large part of improving in gymnastics is working on your mindset. The more you can spend during this down time focusing on your mindset, the better! Color these in and hang them up as a gentle reminder that mindset is everything.
Printable Gymnastics Games – We created a Gymnastics Bingo game for up to 8 players as well as other printables you can do if you’re stuck at home and want something fun to do.
Skills Coloring Pages – We have some skills based coloring sheets that are fun to print out and color in. You can also use this pictures on your Vision Board or paste them into your GymnasticsHQ Mindset Meet Journal.
Gymnastics Activities Bundle – Want something more than just coloring to do? Check out these fun sheets with a crossword puzzle, word search, ad libs, and more!
Watch a Gymnastics Movie – Need something to do when you’re all out of ideas? Well, we’d rather you get outside or practice the dance part of your routines, but a little motivational movie is a nice change of pace too. We recommend Full Out, based on Arianna Berlin’s life story, as a first choice for some great motivation. The Gabby Douglas Story and The Simone Biles Story: Courage to Soar are great too. Just remember to check the rating. Stick It is PG-13 and is not appropriate for all audiences.
SkillTrakker Challenge – If your gym is closed for a few weeks or you just need something extra to do while you’re home, check out our SkillTrakker Community. It’s an online community of over 1300 gymnasts who work on daily and monthly gymnastics challenges at home and earn points for each challenge. Themes change every month.
