Christmas shopping is in full-swing right now and I was thinking to myself, what are the absolutely, most popular gymnastics gifts this season. So, I poured over click data from GymnasticsHQ, along with data from Amazon, and other gymnastics retailers to bring to you the most popular gymnastics gifts of 2016.
Some of the gifts on this list I was expecting to see, and others I was not. Let’s dive right in..
The most popular gymnastics gift of 2016 is…. this Infinity Love Gymnastics Bracelet. This bracelet also comes in light pink, pink & purple, blue and green (as well as several other options), although the hot pink and black is by far the most popular. It’s a handmade bracelet with synthetic leather and silver charms.
The second most popular gift item is the This is My Handstand Shirt. The This is My Handstand shirt comes in 11 colors. Fuchsia and turquoise are the most popular. It’s a fitted shirt and runs a little small. Order a size up.
The third most popular gymnastics gift is the Typography Tee. I love this design of the gymnast made out of gymnastics words. The gymnast typography design tee also runs small, consider ordering a size up. It comes in 10 different colors. Turquoise, lavender and fuchsia are the most popular.
I’m not surprised Simone Biles’ memoir is high on this list, coming off of her insane success at the Olympics. In her book she details how she went from an early childhood in foster care to the star of the 2016 Olympic team. An inspirational read with great life lessons.
The fifth most popular gymnastics gift is the Warning Gymnast Could Flip at any Moment Tshirt. Similar to the other tees on this list, this t-shirt runs small, so consider going up a size. It comes in 14 colors, but also similar to the other tees on the list, the most popular colors are fuchsia, turquoise and purple.
This sectional floor beam makes the list at number six. It has been a really popular gift and I can see why. It has the same 4″ top and suede surface as a competition balance beam. You can connect several of these with the velcro ends, or just use a single one. It allows your gymnast to practice beam skills without needing the amount of space you would need for a low beam.
Since many team gymnasts spend so many hours at the gym, no wonder this sweatshirt made the list–since it’s true. The Eat. Sleep. Gymnastis. Repeat. Hoodie is number seven on this list, and comes in seven colors. The navy and the purple are the most popular.
The eighth most popular gymnastics gift this year is the Tumbl Trak Junior Pro Bar. This bar is awesome! Much better than previous versions of a home mini bar, because it is much more stable. You won’t need plywood or leg extenders with this bar. It’s versatile and easy to assemble with a weight limit of 125 lbs. Your gymnast will be able to practice all kinds of skills on this bar, from casting to kips! Because of the center stabilizing bar you will need a 4-6 in mat underneath, like this one. This bar comes in both pink and blue, but the pink is the most popular.
I was initially surprised that this GOALS poster is one of the most popular gymnastics gifts this year. But I guess I shouldn’t have been, since “goals” is such a trendy pop culture term. At number nine on the list, this motivational poster has been sold out several times, but is currently in stock. Perfect for your gymnast to decorate her room.
To find the tenth most popular gymnastics gift, click on the link and search “Stay Strong”. This trendy leotard has the words “Stay Strong Be Fierce” on it with a fun black mesh open back. I love the way this leotard promotes girl power and healthy self esteem.
A panel mat is the most basic piece of home gymnastics equipment, and it just barely missed the most popular list. Panel mats are great for practicing basic tumbling skills safely at home. This Tumbl Trak panel mat comes in 9 different colors, and 2 different thicknesses but the bright pastel 2 inch thick version is the most popular.
The Ript Skin Systems Hand Care Kit has also been a very popular gift this year and just barely missed the top 10 list. This is great for a team gymnast that needs to take care of her hands from the tough beating they take on bars. The kit includes a grindstone to smooth calluses, a daily dose hand balm to increase hydration and prevent tears, and a quick fix hand balm to apply when your gymnast’s hands get a rip to seal it off from the elements.
