Gymnastics routines are not just about skill and artistry; they’re also about timing. Each competitive gymnastics event has specific time limits for routines, which gymnasts must adhere to avoid penalties. Whether you’re a gymnast striving for perfection or a parent trying to understand the rules, here’s everything you need to know about gymnastics routine times.

These are the gymnastics routine time limits for each level. Exceeding the time limit results in a deduction. Gymnasts receive warnings 10 seconds before the time limit on Balance Beam. Overtime is a .10 deduction.

    • No there is not. With floor and beam you get an overtime deduction if you go over time. But with bars no there is no overtime deduction.

    • So how they time routines is based off of the moment you yourself start moving not based off of how long your music is so if you were moving for 1min 15sec or less you should be good. But judges put on your score sheets ot if your overtime so look for that too

  1. I’m a DJ and music producer. I love mixing beats and phrases together perfectly. The thought of doing that in time with a gymnist performing with a steady BPM. sticking it in the corner on beat for a new song to come in.

This sounds pretty cool to me. I could match the musoc to your timing. I;d love that challange,
