One of my favorite things about Instagram is getting to know some of you in the GymnasticsHQ audience. As we start a new year, and it’s time to make gymnastics goals, I would love to see the goals that you make! I created some gymnastics Instagram story templates that you can use to share your goals for the new year, along with some templates you can use to share a a little bit about yourself as a gymnast.
Feel free to download the images from this page, or you can download them all here-
If you fill them out and post them on Instagram, don’t forget to tag me (@gymnasticshq) so I can see your responses!
If you don’t have Instagram and still would like to fill out the goal images, I’ve included a version that has a white background in the download above.
And you can use the following template as an intro to your goals. Just paste a picture of you in the white square.
And here is a template to share a little bit more about yourself on Instagram:
And if you would like to post an intro to your about me on Instagram stories, you can use this template (just put a picture of yourself in the square):
Hope you enjoy these templates! I can’t wait to see your responses!

I was wondering how to transfer to JO from XCEL, and what levels you would transer to from the XCEL levels?

Check out my gymnastics levels guide for more info on which JO level is similar to each Xcel level.

Hi Sarah,
My daughter transferred to a new gym to start JO in May of last year. She had just finished competing xcel silver and was a high performer at that level. She was about to move up to xcel gold if she had stayed at her old gym. At her new gym she went into JO level 4/5. She competed level 4 this last fall and now will compete level 5 in spring, though coming from xcel I would say she had some catching up to do in level 4. The biggest difference is how much harder bars is in JO. This was a great time to switch because if she switched at a higher level she would still have had to compete JO compulsory levels 4 and 5 before moving to optionals. If you are xcel gold I would think you would be ready for JO level 4/5 or possibly 6, if you are xcel platinum you would likely be ready for JO level 6/7 but unless you are 14 or older, you’d have to go back and compete levels 4 and 5 at least once to score out. I hope this is helpful, at least to give you a general idea, every place is different of course. My daughter loves JO and is glad she made the switch even though she really loved her old coaches and gym too. Good luck!
